Keeping Infoblox Education Informed

We need to know your team. In addition to working with you on specific training event deliveries, we also regularly publish important operations notes and promotions to our ATP network.

If you haven’t done so, please provide our Operations Team (education@infoblox.com) the contact details (name, location, phone number and email address) for your Infoblox team members and locations, including:

  • Business Owners – responsible for the business relationship with Infoblox

  • Training Administrators – own the organization and logistics of Infoblox training event delivery

  • Instructors – deliver the Infoblox training events

  • Facilities – names and addresses of your delivery facility/locations

If you have multiple people in a specific role, please provide contact information for all of them.

Also, please work with us to keep your contact information updated when people change roles, take extended time off or leave your organization.

Onboarding a New Instructor

Please see the following guide for details on the Infoblox Qualified Instructor (IQI) Process.

Selling Training

What are the costs for an Authorized Training Partner to deliver training?

The Infoblox recommended list price is US$ 1,445.50 per student per day.

Authorized Training Partners can price the workshop to their local market requirements.

Authorized Training Partners pay Infoblox a royalty of 25% of the amount they charge a student, with a minimum remit of US$ 180.00 per student per day.

What do students receive as part of training purchased via an Authorized Training Partner?

The workshops include lab guides and remote lab access when needed for the topics covered in the workshop.

Attendance Certificates for each workshop attended.

Everyone receives 30 days of trial access to Infoblox's on-demand product learning. After the trial period, customers will retain access to product learning as it is included with their product purchase; registration for live training automatically enrolls them in product learning as well. Partners can maintain access beyond the trial by creating a Partner Portal account through the Skilled to Secure program. However, individuals who are not customers or partners will lose access once their trial period ends.

Lab guides are publicly available on https://docs.education.infoblox.com/lab.

Note: we no longer maintain or provide PDF courseware for students.

What do students NOT receive as part of training purchased via an Authorized Training Partner?

We no longer maintain or provide PDF courseware for students.

Access to exams is not included and must be purchased separately.

Students can purchase exams via our Webassessor platform. For more information, see the Using Webassessor how-to guide.

Bulk Exam Voucher Purchasing

If you wish to provide exam vouchers to your training students, you can purchase them in bulk through the Bulk Exam Voucher Program.

Please see the Bulk Exam Voucher Purchase page for more information.

Pre-Delivery Tasks

Promoting Your Training Events

ATPs are allowed to promote their training events to their customers and partners using various methods, such as websites, email, SMS, and calling. However, the promotion should be limited to the geographic region specified in the ATP agreement. Students sourced from outside this geographic region may be denied.

Students from US-embargoed countries, organizations and persons will be denied.

Use of the Infoblox logo and trademarks is subject to the following terms and conditions: https://www.infoblox.com/wp-content/uploads/infoblox-trademark-guidelines.pdf

Communicating Prerequisites

To succeed in an Infoblox training event, students must have a baseline knowledge of DNS & DHCP protocols. Infoblox Education provides free e-learning, DDI Associate and DNS Security Associate to fulfil this requirement.

ATPS must communicate this requirement and the e-learning course links to their students with their registration confirmation:

ATP Scheduling Process

We understand the timing can be challenging for your business; however, Infoblox requires your data to comply with US Federal reporting requirements.

Students from US-embargoed countries, organizations, and persons will be denied.

Upon student registration, a legal screening process takes place. If any issues are identified, we will contact the ATP to determine the next steps.

Infoblox requires all training partners to comply with this requirement. If you are unable to submit schedule requests on time and with the correct information, we are unable to approve your training event.

As a reminder:

  • Scheduling requests must be received by 12 noon UTC Wednesday the week before the training event is scheduled to run.

  • It is not possible to make changes to the students’ list after this cut-off time.

  • The scheduling request must include a copy of the PO for the class.

To make the process easier, we have provided an online form for ATPs to use when submitting schedule requests:

Manually submit Scheduling Request
  • Schedules need to be emailed to education@infoblox.com.

  • We require one email submission per training event.

  • For the training event schedule, specify the following:

    • Trainer - provide name and email address

    • Time zone - provide either location or UTC offset

    • Delivery location - either physical, virtual or hybrid

      • For physical, we require the location address

      • For virtual, we require the virtual meeting (MS Teams / Zoom, etc.) link

      • For hybrid, we require both the location address and virtual meeting link

  • For each workshop that is part of the schedule, specify the following:

    • Workshop Name + Code / Course Name

    • Start Date

    • Start Time - provide in 24-hour clock notation

  • For each student, we require the following items of information in a tabular/CSV format:

    • Student Legal Name - must be the full legal name as it would appear on a Government-issued ID.

    • Student Organization Email - must be associated with the organization; private/personal email addresses are prohibited.

    • Organization Legal Name - must be the full legal entity name as it would appear on a legal contract.

    • Organization Number - this number is provided by Infoblox to identify the organization. It is the same number that the organization uses to access Infoblox Support. If you do not have this number, we will attempt to look it up using the provided Organization Legal Name.

    • Organization Full Address - must be the organization’s full address, including street name, city, state, zip code, etc.

    • Organization Country

The Infoblox Education operations team will email you by COB Thursday confirming your training events for the coming week.

If you have NOT received confirmation by Friday, please immediately contact education@infoblox.com to verify your training event schedule.

Post-Delivery Tasks

Submitting Attendance Sheets

Please remember to send a copy of the signed attendance sheet to education@infoblox.com so we can record the student’s attendance. If the class is delivered virtually, an email from the instructor stating who did/didn’t attend will be accepted as proof.

Once marked, attendance certificates will be provided within 72 hours.

Help for Urgent Issues

Please include the word URGENT in the subject of the email.

A ticket will be generated automatically.

Our Operations Team monitors the inbound ticket queue. Our standard SLA is one US business day; however, for urgent issues, we aim to respond within four hours.

Additional FAQs

Do ATP instructors need to re-validate their qualifications to teach the new workshops?

No, ATP instructors do not need to re-qualify. However, instructors are required to keep their achievements active and current.

Can an Authorized Training Partner schedule a multi-day or week-long training event?

ATPs can stack multiple workshops back-to-back to facilitate a multi-day or week-long training event.

One benefit of the workshop structure is that ATPs can combine and deliver which workshops they like.

Can we build and run “Customized” training courses using Infoblox training materials?

No. The training courseware is the intellectual property of Infoblox, Inc.

ATPs are forbidden from using the course materials for purposes other than delivering Infoblox-authorized training courses/workshops.

We require written proof that we are an Authorized Training Partner

If you are in good standing with the program, this is possible for us to provide. Please contact education@infoblox.com for further information.

Why would a student choose to take training with an Authorized Training Partner?

Authorized Training Partners also benefit from providing live, in-person, instructor-led training in the local region and language.
